Commercial Projects

Below you will see several of my more commercial type projects. I have served as director, editor, and videographer for several of these projects. Coming from a documentary background, I often create videos that engage the audience through a documentary style look and feel. I use storytelling to humanize brands or businesses and thus, help audiences become more captivated and related to your product or business.

This video is part of a larger series that highlights those working in the Office of Online Education. The content is purposefully casual and introspective, allowing those watching to feel already connected with the employees. Our goal for the project was to have professors/staff to feel they could easily approach the office. I served as videographer, interview, and editor on this project.

As a part of my work for the Office of Online Education at Wake Forest, I created the office’s first ever video series that aims to educate and inspire professors to utilize Premiere Pro for editing videos for their class. This project also included a segment that focused on filming techniques for professors who were filming out of their own space or home. I served as producer, director, editor, and narrator for this project.

As a video producer for the Office of Online Education, I worked directly with our Instructional Designers and Professors to help edit and create video work for their upcoming courses. These projects were often to elevate the interest level of the topic for the students as well as engage them in a content form they are used to viewing. This is an example of an early stage project where the professor wanted a “Youtube” quality/style to his videos. I served as producer on this project and coordinated other multimedia employees on editing and gathering b-roll. I created most of the animation for this video.

I served as the sole director, editor, graphic designer, producer, and cinematographer on this video. This video replaced the in person Moving Day Walk. In this video, you will hear real people telling their stories of living with Parkinson’s, loving people with Parkinson’s and working to beat Parkinson’s. And in between those emotional and inspiring stories, the video brings in fitness experts from the community to do mini-workout sessions right from your living room. The Parkinson’s Foundation chapter in Winston Salem was the only chapter out of the entire national foundation to provide a Virtual Video as a part of the 2021 Moving Day Virtual Walk. Parts of the video are now being used as a part of the National Parkinson’s Foundation campaign. For more information on the Virtual Moving Day event click here.

This video celebrates Wake Forest’s PA program’s 50th Anniversary. As an editor for the project, I used several multimedia elements including yearbooks, archival footage, interviews, and tape recordings to establish the large amount of time that the PA program has been part of the Wake Forest and Winston Salem community. This video was produced as a part of the Wrought Iron Production company

From loose tea to a delicious drink, in this promotional video for Golden Rule Kombucha, I worked with Mike, the owner, to detail the process of how he makes his special brew of kombucha. The full video is to be utilized within his website, but shorter versions of this video could also be utilized for the brand’s social media platforms.

Discover Frostburg

Discover Frostburg Maryland’s Mountain City was created to be the pilot video for a promotional video series for FrostburgFirst, a Main Street Community initiative. Located in Western Maryland, Frostburg is a small community with a large heart that is largely made up of the small town businesses. In a documentary interview style, local business owners speak to what they believe makes Frostburg special. As videographer, editor, and director of this project I was able to create a piece from my own experience and ideas that spoke to the sense of character and community that this town has.
