I have started working with Animation in the past few years. I love being able to add elements of animation to any project that I work on, whether that be as a simple lower third or as a completely animated story! I love that through animation I can combine all of my skills, editing, graphic design, and storytelling!
Afungus Amoungus is an animation piece that I created with Bridget Fitzgerald and Brandon Gaesser. Fungus, our titular character discovers his home, the swamp, is ruined by the city’s liter, and decides to save his home. We built this episode from scratch using Adobe After Effects as a part of the Animation course I took during my time at the Documentary Film Program at Wake Forest.
I was inspired by animation pieces that utilize typography as well as 60’s style text for this piece. This animation piece is styled as a possible intro for an Elvis themed documentary series.
This animation was created using all of my own hand-drawn elements.
